Animation (Mechanical) Support Required - Short-term UK pref.
QUESTION:I've got behind on a job for a client and am looking to out-source the
animation content if anyone is interested.
I'm a free-lance Mechanical Engineer that occaisionally "tinkers" with
Max for Rendering and animation. I produced a few animation items for a
client for whom I am undertaking a fairly large engineering project.
The requirements for the animations have grown and are now
over-shadowing the Engineering work but to meet deadlines I need to
start concentrating on the Engineering content and get support on the
animation work.
The work needs to be invoiceable (Ltd. company or sole-trader), so no
cash-in-hand I'm afraid and I'm really looking for support in the UK
for ease of communiaction/payment/etc.
The modelling/animation will have to be created in 3DS Max Rev 7 or
higher.
If you're interested then please read on, here's a bit of background:
The product started off as a Remote Operated, Electric Powered,
Underground Excavator to be used to dig the access tunnels alongside
the large boring machines that excavate the main tunnels on
constructions like the Cross Tunnel Link.
ANSWER: As the Project has moved on the focus has turned more to the Boom, for
which there is now a patent, and additional uses this may be put to.
My client is now pursuing a number of additional uses that he feels the
boom can be put to and wishes to have animated scenes created showing
the product being put to these uses.
I've already completed an animation showing the product operating
within it's original environment and the excavtor itself is more or
less complete.
The help I need is in creating those additional scenes and the setting
up a 1 - 2 minute animations of each just showing it doing "its'
thing". There are some additional features I need to add to the boom
to fulfil the functions, but other than those there is little to do on
the excavator itself.
All my modelling is done in I-DEAS Master Series, I've then
translated it through to 3DSMax (currently Rev.7). I've created a
skeleton in Max and attached all the excavator parts to it making it
quite simple to manipulate, although time-consuming to set the
movements up
