Light Construction Equipment
QUESTION:The blundering pilots of Singapore Air crashed into building materials
at Taipei airport yesterday after taking a wrong turn on the runway.
The takeoff continued without the pilots even aware that they had just
knocked down the light construction equipment with the plane's wings.
When being told of the accident minutes after takeoff, by control
tower, the pilorts shrugged off the warning and decided to continue on
to Singapore.....
ANSWER: A think that your use of the terms Construction Equipment is a little over
the top. It was not construction equipment at all. It was tail stands.
Not to say that this isn't serious enough that they were taxiing in an area
they should not have been but no need for you to sensationalise and make
incorrect statements.
