QUESTION:I need to lower a small JCB forklift into a basement. I need pick up points for this unit. Thank you?
the unit I have looked at is a 520-50 model. It does show hook points but the manual does not call these pick up points on tie down points. I have contacted JCB but am having trouble getting response.
ANSWER: Your question doesn't quite make sense but i think you want to know which machine has lifting eyes. Most if not all modern machines have lifting eyes designed into the chassis, so to lifting with a Crane is easy as long as you have the correct lifting chains and something capable of lifting the weight of the machine.
If on the other hand you are asking where the lifting points are for your specific machine , they are normally situated around the cab and the front of the machine, if you find the centre of gravity for the machine the lifting points are there, do not sling a chain around any hydraulic rams or any movable part, ie Boom/Mast.
