Looking for Toyota forklift Service Manual
QUESTION:the Williams family now owns a "Red-Neck Race-Car", single seat
version for Wear House Grand Prix. Its a Toyota 2FG20 forklift, 4000
lbs at 24", pneumatic tires, gas engine, orange and gray. The placard
says, I think, its in Japanese, that it has an empty weight of 3,200Kg.
In any event it satisfies Nedra's criteria - its "cute little Toyota
forklift like that one at the feed store", it will easily handle the
1,500 lb hay cube feed bags, and with some care will unload all the
Keystone block pallets when we build the 4 tiers of retaining wall round
the arena - at least 90 pallets of them at 3,200 lbs per pallet. And
according to mark Winlund, I will find all sorts of uses for it. I have
no doubt he is correct.
OK, the fork lift is used and came with out a manual.
First, let me thank the Internet Search Wizard, Pete Albrecht, he found
me one for a 3FGC20 25 Toyota forklift. I ordered it instantly. So I
will have some information. But, it occurs to me to put the question to
this amazing group - where would you look for an owners manual or
service manual for a Toyota 2FGC20 forklift?
ANSWER: Try the dealer for a manual, but bring a bucket of cash. They also have all
the parts manuals on CD (at the dealership, doubt you'll get one)...
And the question is, does it say Toyota or Toyoda on the placard? I did
field service on forklifts for a couple years but can't put the model number
with a machine. It seems the change between Toyota and Toyoda makes a diff
when looking for tech support and parts.
