QUESTION:I am thinking of putting a concrete foundation beneath it. Can I rent
a forklift for a day? How much might it cost to rent a forklift and a concrete mixer? Or perhaps I could do OK with a lesser foundation? I
did call my city building dept, they said that there were no specific
rules as to the foundation or where I put it.
ANSWER: Military specs tend to run on the heavy side. Bigger bearings, more horsepower
per KW, larger oil capacities, etc.
Any construction rental will bring out a forklift, but get a Lull. It's a
forklift on steroids. The boom will extend and retract out as well as up, and
it has large tires that will roll around the yard.Expect to spend $200.00 for
a Lull and a mixer for a day.
