Forklift Battery Maintenance?
QUESTION:I have a battery operated forklift that barely holds a charge. Other than charging it everynight and putting water in the batteries, what else can i do/add to make it retain the charge better and have better power in general?
ANSWER: If the batteries won't maintain a charge they may have reached the end of their useful life, assuming you don't have a problem of excessive current drain in the motor.
If that is the case, open your wallet wide and replace the battery.
If the battery is good and you do have an excessive current drain, start here...
