QUESTION:I don't know if this is the right group to pose this msg to so if it
isn't could someone please point me in the right direction? A good
friend of mine has a 6 cylinder 1972 gas powered Dynahoe backhoe. Except
for some minor hydraulic leaks it runs fine. The main problem though is
that the exhaust manifold has a golf ball sized piece missing, (almost
looks like it has blown out) and needs to be replaced. This is a flat
head six engine having a distributor shaft which seems to mount right
into the rear portion and right on top of the head. I originally thought
that it might be a Chrysler industrial engine but I'm not sure. That
distributor arrangement looks strange. Does anyone have any information
on this including possible substitutions for this part?
ANSWER: I always thought Ford made the Dynahoe, and that Ford farm implement dealers
could supply parts.
